Welcome! I’m so glad that you’re here for Christian gratitude journaling and prayer prompts.

I started my first journal in March of 2018 and one of the things I really wanted to prioritize in that journal was gratitude. It was always hard for me to know what to write about, so having a list of gratitude and journaling prayer prompts was a huge blessing. I challenged myself to write down just one thing I was grateful for in a different color so it would stand out (pink). I really struggled with depression and being discontent in my life at the time and as I look back I’m amazed at the work the Lord has done in my heart with that one simple decision (to start journaling gratitude).

It has been such a beautiful thing to look back through that journal and see all of those pink notes. When I fall into grumbling or discontent, I can focus on those moments of gratitude and praise God for His faithfulness.

This challenge can also be started at ANY time so don’t feel like you need to start at the beginning of a new month (any first-borns here?). CLICK HERE TO GET THE PRINTABLE

Want to get the most out of this series? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A willing heart. Start praying for a heart of flesh and a vision for gratitude!
  • An open mind. As funny as that sounds, I think you’ll be surprised. This series won’t be typical of gratitude challenges, so be open to what work the Lord will do!
  • If you don’t have a journal and want to journal this, you’ll want something to write in. The goal is to have something to look back on after you’ve sought the Lord this 30 days. Don’t over think this! You can even use your phone.
  • Pretty pens (optional) I love writing different things in different colors. This makes it easy for me to flip through and find exactly what I’m looking for when I’m needing to remember God’s faithfulness or to reflect on answered prayers! I write prayers in purple, gratitude/blessing in pink, scripture in yellow, and His voice (things the Lord is clearly speaking to me) in turquoise.
